With over 14 years experience in the field, Leon started his training in 2006 and became a qualified hearing aid dispenser in 2007.
In 2010 he went on to receive his Masters Degree in Audiological Science from the prestigious University College London, where he took a keen interest in the generation sites of tinnitus, resulting in the topic for his thesis. Prior to this he also obtained a business degree from Oxford Brookes University.
Leon has spent many years training alongside some of the UK’s leading ENT Doctors and Audiologists. His unique understanding of patient care and audiology derives from working at a number of NHS hospitals, combined with being a Regional Manager and Audiologist for a world-leading hearing aid manufacturer.
In 2013, Leon took his extensive expertise and cherry picked the best techniques and practices in the industry, and established Chalfont Hearing Centre, providing elite hearing services to the Buckinghamshire area. Following the success of the Chalfont branch, Leon went on to establish The Hearing Clinic Henley, to also extend his highly commended hearing services to Oxfordshire as well.
One of Leon’s biggest achievements to date was when he cycled 2,500 miles on a bicycle across America. Riding solo and unsupported, Leon cycled across the USA, raising money for the Children’s Audiology Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He raised a total of £2500 for charity and travelled over mountains and through deserts from Los Angeles to New York in just 4 weeks.
